We are pleased to be introducing our newest member to our family who is set to take us to new heights. 

Please join us in welcoming Jolene Price, our new Head of Business Development, a seasoned professional with an impressive 15 years of industry experience. 

Jolene’s journey in technical production began when realised that she Loved the impact of the technical production side when working as an event director for corporate events at Rail Media. This led on to Hawthorn, where she served as a Business Development Manager. She supported new clients with large-scale productions, laying the foundation for her understanding of the industry’s intricacies.

  • Able to work comfortable with MS Office and Excel software and experience of CRM systems

Main purpose of the job:

The Accounts Assistant will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of Sales and Bought ledgers.

 

Summary of principal duties and responsibilities:
  • Accurately coding and checking supplier invoices and challenging any that are incorrect
  • Setting up new supplier accounts as needed and paying supplier invoices via BACS
  • Checking and reconcile supplier statements
  • Setting up new customer accounts and carrying out credit checks
  • Raising invoices and assisting with customer queries
  • Assisting with credit control
  • Processing daily receipts and payments
  • Reconciling bank statements
  • Assisting with the month-end close and reconciling balance sheet accounts
  • Preparation of intercompany payments
  • Ensuring correct coding for VAT and first review of transactions in returns
  • Processing staff expenses and ensuring proper documentation and authorisation policies are adhered to
  • Participating in other administrative tasks that fall within the responsibility of the finance department
  • Office front line engagement, phones, front door etc.

This gathering brought together the brilliant mind of Mike Tuitt, a Systems Designer, Engineer, Technical Project Manager and friend of Pixl Evolution with the central focus to introduce and provide training to both our in-house team and our freelance partners on the essentials for flawlessly setting up, operating, and resetting our state-of-the-art PPU system–key to meeting the diverse needs of the industry.

Jo Beirne, Business Development Manager

Jo joins the Pixl team with more than 23 years of experience in the music industry. She started working at Virgin Records in 1997 and then went to work with BAMN management, where she was introduced to live touring. After supporting Westlife’s first tour, she joined XL Video, where she worked for over 15 year and was at the forefront of putting live touring video on the map.

She has been responsible for project managing and coordinating video worldwide for touring acts including The Killers, James Blunt, Gorillaz, Radiohead, Robbie Williams and many more.

Chris “Beef” Johnson, Project Manager

Beef started his career at a small live events company back in 2004. He worked his way up to run the video department before becoming an in-house board technician. The company was acquired by XL Video, where he first met and worked with Pixl’s Lee Spencer as well as Jo Beirne. He quickly discovered a passion for LED and found himself traveling the world working with both corporate and touring clients. He has supported a wide range of high-profile events, including Samsung phone launches, large-scale festivals such as Creamfields, and much more.

In 2013, he went freelance and has toured the world with bands such as The Libertines, The XX, Robyn and The Rolling Stones, whilst still working on specialist corporate events for Google and YouTube.

Not only did the Freelancer BBQ provide us with the opportunity to forge new friendships, but it also allowed us to showcase some of our latest and greatest kit. From our Cameras, PPU, ROE SCREENS and Media servers that bring visuals to life, to the immersive audio experience that envelops you in sound, every piece of technology we demonstrated highlighted our dedication to pushing the boundaries of possibility. And who could forget our mini XR studio, where reality and imagination merge.

This event marked a significant milestone for us as our very first BBQ, and your presence undoubtedly made it all the more special. We are deeply grateful for the support and positive energy that each of you brought to the table. As we continue to evolve and grow as a community, events like these remind us of the incredible power of connection and collaboration.

Jo Beirne, Business Development Manager

Jo joins the Pixl team with more than 23 years of experience in the music industry. She started working at Virgin Records in 1997 and then went to work with BAMN management, where she was introduced to live touring. After supporting Westlife’s first tour, she joined XL Video, where she worked for over 15 year and was at the forefront of putting live touring video on the map.

She has been responsible for project managing and coordinating video worldwide for touring acts including The Killers, James Blunt, Gorillaz, Radiohead, Robbie Williams and many more.

Chris “Beef” Johnson, Project Manager

Beef started his career at a small live events company back in 2004. He worked his way up to run the video department before becoming an in-house board technician. The company was acquired by XL Video, where he first met and worked with Pixl’s Lee Spencer as well as Jo Beirne. He quickly discovered a passion for LED and found himself traveling the world working with both corporate and touring clients. He has supported a wide range of high-profile events, including Samsung phone launches, large-scale festivals such as Creamfields, and much more.

In 2013, he went freelance and has toured the world with bands such as The Libertines, The XX, Robyn and The Rolling Stones, whilst still working on specialist corporate events for Google and YouTube.
