Job Description:
Essential Functions:
- Respond to customer inquiries and initiate contacts, ascertain the nature of the event, client requirements, budgets, sites, dates, past shows, and equipment requirements to identify the quality and scope of client’s event. Explain policies relating to rental, labor, insurance, billing, deposits, and logistics. Negotiate discount terms in keeping with established policy.
- Direct Show Assistant to create formal proposal. Review formal proposal and issue to client.
- Maintain continuous contact with client representative to receive and respond to changes initiated by clients. Contact client and follow up to determine continuing level of interest, and renegotiate discounts and additional incentives as required.
- Coordinate all elements of event details and logistics. Visit venues as required to survey sites, ensure that all logistics suit client and equipment requirements, and that power requirements of equipment and venue are accurate as proposed. Respond to customer change requirements and communicate internally to affect changes to suit client’s needs.
- Explain deposit and commitment requirements for booking of contracts and blocking of equipment and labor. Receive and review contract commitments and issues for deposit invoice generation.
- Work with logistics department to determine availability of required equipment and negotiate with customers to provide suitable substitutions for original requirements. Determine requirements for cross rental of equipment and ensure that quotes maintain overall required margin levels.
- Review pulled equipment in warehouse prior to shipment to ensure that all required elements are included and authorize shipment of package to show site.
- Prepare final documentation relating to actual implementation of show with all hours and equipment itemized in preparation for billing. Follow up with clients to determine level of satisfaction and investigate and resolve outstanding issues. Manage the execution of payment terms in keeping with contractual agreements and ensure that all funds due for sold show contracts are collected in agreed terms.
Purpose:
The Account Executive will perform functions to act as a technical sales consultant and negotiate the terms and conditions of contracts for the rental of audiovisual equipment and the provision of technical services.

Account Executive

Reporting to: Director, Touring & Entertainment
Location: Pixl Evolution office & home office with travel within the UK, Europe and globally as required
Job Description:
Summary of Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop strong relationships and rapport with clients, conduct client visits as necessary and appropriate.
- Discussing event requirements directly with clients including keeping detailed client briefs.
- Producing accurate quotations and proposal documentation.
- Work with the project and operations team to convert the brief into an accurate technical specification.
- Managing all aspects of the project from the pre-production process to completion.
- Liaise internally cross departmentally to arrange freelance crew, sub-hire equipment and transportation.
- Manage freelance crew to deliver the client’s brief whilst on-site.
- Producing and managing all administration documentation relating to a project including H&S documents.
- Cost control of project budgets and producing documentation for the Accounts Department for invoicing.
- Research the latest technology and advise the Technical Director accordingly.
- Working with the Technical Director and Business Development Director to develop the department in general and the way we work with our clients.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop business opportunities.
- Attend trade shows when appropriate.
- Project support out of hours when required.
- To perform other duties as assigned by and discussed with the Technical Director.
Experience and Behaviours:
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with customers and event production professionals in both formal and informal situations.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Effective decision making.
- The ability to travel, sometimes at short notice.
