Account Manager
Department: Live Events
Responsible For: New Business Development, Sales & Account Management.Â
Location: Pixl Evolution’s office & home office with travel within the UK, Europe and globally as requiredÂ
Job Description:
Summary of Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing client relationships to maintain and grow the businessÂ
- Confidently conduct client show roundsÂ
- Research new client leadsÂ
- Convert leads into active businessÂ
- Update the company CRM with all client contact interactionsÂ
- Good working knowledge of Salesforce is essentialÂ
- Attend industry events and gain contacts from attendingÂ
- Attend production meetings and site visits as requiredÂ
- Take detailed client briefsÂ
- Work with the project and operations team to convert the brief into an accurate technical deliveryÂ
- Manage the budget and costs throughout a project ensure maximum margin for the companyÂ
- Consolidate the project budget promptly to enable invoicingÂ
- Ensure all invoicing takes place at the correct timesÂ
- Take an active role in and contribute to the company’s business strategyÂ
- Encourage and build strong relationships with key individuals and major clients, professionally and sociallyÂ
- Identify potential development to company’s ‘offer’ to meet the customer’s additional needsÂ
- Discuss leads, progress, and opportunities on a regular basis with the sales teamÂ
- Go to site for events when necessaryÂ
- Attend trade shows when appropriateÂ
- Project support out of hours when required Technical equipment training as appropriate
- Leading RFP’s, tenders, and pitchesÂ
- Competitor and market research
- Maintain up-to-date licenses for appropriate job required skills
- Where required, meet with the operations team to provide strategic and tangible progress, feedback and input into sales process development and specific projects and clientsÂ
- To perform other duties as assigned by and discussed with the Commercial DirectorÂ
Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Account Executive will take responsibility for new business sales & growing new sustained client accounts.
Experience & Behaviours:
- 5 years or more experience of the live events industryÂ
- Strong client skills being frequently recognised by clients as someone actively involved in meeting their needs; requested by clients for future projects based on past performanceÂ
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with customers and event production professionals in both formal and informal situationsÂ
- Strong analytical skills and a high level of commercial, business, and financial acumenÂ
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to guide a client through reasoning to produce a noticeable increase in sales revenueÂ
- Self-motivated with a passion for results and a process driven mindsetÂ
- Ability to prepare and present reports to senior levelÂ
- Strategic thinker with clear ability to identify, appraise and implement new ideas and approaches for developing revenue and profitability of the businessÂ
- Highly IT literate, with good knowledge of all Microsoft Office software, experience of CRM systems & a working knowledge of R2 booking system would be beneficialÂ
- Full valid driving licence and ability to travel, sometimes at short noticeÂ
- Solid understanding of social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook etc.Â
